Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian winter sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the three-week period ending Dec. 30.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

MERI BROOM, FORT VANCOUVER BOWLING: Broom averaged 180 over six games, including a high game of 201 against Prairie.

SARAH ELLIS, COLUMBIA RIVER GYMNASTICS: Ellis won four events including the all-around with a score of 35.5 in a meet with Ridgefield and Hudson’s Bay.

JACKSON MCKINNEY, SKYVIEW WRESTLING: McKinney won a 3-2 thriller in the title match of top wrestlers against Camas’ Sam Malychewski at the Pacific Coast Championships.

KAM OSBORN, PRAIRIE BOYS BASKETBALL: Osborn scored 32 points and 21 points as the Falcons won both games at the SunDome Shootout.

PAYTON WANGLER, HOCKINSON GIRLS BASKETBALL: Wangler averaged 14 points in three games at the Surf N Slam Tournament, including a 25-point, 6-3-pointer game.
