Multi-vehicle crash in Vancouver blocking westbound SR 500 lanes

Original story: A multiple-vehicle crash on westbound state Highway 500 near 39th street is causing significant delays.

Washington State Department of Transportation issued an alert for the crash at Milepost 0.2 at 7:16 a.m.

The crash is blocking both lanes of the highway, the transportation department said.

Responders say the crash has blocked traffic on the highway at Southbound Interstate 5, according to emergency traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Drivers are asked to use caution and to expect delays until further notice.
