Nominees for Week 11 winter sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian winter sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Feb. 24.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

TIANA BARNETT, WASHOUGAL GIRLS BASKETBALL: Barnett came off the bench to contribute 16 points and six assists in regional win over Fife.

KHALFANI CASON, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN BOYS BASKETBALL: Cason scored 35 points, including the overtime-forcing 3-pointer, in a regional win over Wahluke.

CADEN DEZORT, COLUMBIA RIVER BOYS BASKETBALL: Dezort hit five 3-pointers and scored 17 points in a regional loss to top-ranked Selah.

MACKENZIE LEWIS, UNION GIRLS BASKETBALL: Lewis had three 3-pointer and 20 pointers in a regional win over Todd Beamer.

KAMERON OSBORN, PRAIRIE BOYS BASKETBALL: Osborn scored 21 of his 29 points in the first half of a regional win over Arlington.
