CEDAR CITY, Utah — Holland Woods scored 20, including a 3-pointer to send the game to overtime, as Portland State stormed back to beat Southern Utah 96-91 in overtime on Thursday night.
Woods hit the game-tying 3-pointer with 3.1 left in regulation. He hit another with 1:52 left in overtime to give the Vikings (17-11, 7-8 Big Sky) their first lead of the period.
Southern Utah led by 14 in the first half before the Vikings closed within three at the break.
The teams traded runs in the second half, but Portland State led just once. A Brandon Better free throw put the Thunderbirds (10-16, 4-11) up by three before Woods tied it.
