Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council. For information on the following and other opportunities, call 360-735-3690.

Clark County Public Works Parks Division seeks volunteer help with a Vancouver Lake Mitigation Planting Maintenance project with the Port of Vancouver, 1 to 4 p.m. March 6. Help cut back encroaching vegetation and replace plant protectors as needed. A parking permit, tools, gloves, snacks and water will be provided.

Columbia Springs seeks volunteers at its Stewardship Saturdays events to help plant trees, remove invasive species and do trail maintenance. Each day ends with an activity, such as planting flower seeds or weaving baskets from English ivy. Children 7 and older are welcome to volunteer with a parent. Up to 30 volunteers are needed for these events.

Kaiser Permanente Hospice seeks volunteers for a variety of positions. There will be training for new volunteers, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 20 and 27 at Kaiser Permanente’s Orchards Medical Office.

Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center is looking for hospital assistants for a variety of positions. A one-year commitment is required.

Lifeline Connections seeks administrative volunteers to help with office tasks.

Volunteer Connections is seeking a volunteer to enter data on the computer, make phone calls to partner organizations and to volunteers, updating critical information.
