Nominees for Week 10 winter sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, will continue through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian winter sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Feb. 17.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

ALLISON BLAINE, HUDSON’S BAY GIRLS WRESTLING: The sophomore became Bay’s first state champion in girls wrestling, winning the 135-pound title.

JOSH BOTTELBERGHE, COLUMBIA RIVER BOYS SWIMMING: The senior was selected the state swimmer of the year after defending his titles in the 200 free and 100 breaststroke at the 2A state meet.

SHEA MCGEE, CAMAS GYMNASTICS: McGee placed second in the all-around, fourth in vault, fourth on floor and sixth on beam at the 4A state meet.

JACKSON MCKINNEY, SKYVIEW BOYS WRESTLING: The senior capped his prep career by winning the state title with a 6-2 win in the 195-pound 4A final.

DANNY SNEDIKER, UNION BOYS WRSTLING: The junior earned a 4A state title at 152 pounds with a 8-4 win over Mead’s Cameron Crawford.
