Five Clark players scored in double figures as the Penguins men’s basketball team held off Southwestern Oregon 82-76 in an NWAC South region game Saturday at the O’Connell Sports Complex.
Clark (8-16, 4-9 NWAC South) scored 15 points off turnovers and outrebounded SWOC 41-32. But it was close throughout with 13 lead changes and 10 ties.
Clark took the lead for good with 5:40 to play on a basket by Jesse Vogel, making the score 61-59. But SWOC kept it close.
Clark stretched its lead to 73-64 with a 7-0 run and then kept SWOC out of reach for the final 1:14.
Isaac Houck had 16 points and nine rebounds for Clark. Kaden Ogles had 15 points and seven assists, LaTrell Johnson had 13 points and seven rebounds, Vogel had 13 points and nine rebounds off the bench, and Tyler Fernstrom had 11 points and eight rebounds.
WOMEN: Southwestern Oregon 80, Clark 39 — Jazmyn Brown led the Penguins in scoring with 13 points, and Sarah Teubner had 12 rebounds and six points.

The Clark women are scheduled to play at Southwestern Oregon at 2 p.m. Monday.
Both Penguins teams have their final home game on Wednesday against Clackamas. Women’s game is at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.
