PORTLAND — Ryan Richardson scored eight of his 27 points in overtime and Weber State defeated Portland State 95-86 on Thursday night for its eighth straight win.
Richardson scored eight straight Wildcat points in the extra session, his jumper and 3-point play starting a 10-0 run for a 91-83 lead with 33 seconds left.
Weber State (18-7, 11-2 Big Sky Conference) closed regulation on a 6-0 run with Richardson’s layup with 33.5 seconds remaining tying the game at 77.
Portland State (15-11, 5-8) missed its last three shots in regulation and last four in OT.
