CHENEY — Bogdan Bliznyuk scored 19 points with six rebounds and five assists and Eastern Washington ended Montana’s 13-game winning streak 74-65 on Thursday night.

Benas Griciunas added 14 points on 6-for-6 shooting and Jacob Davison 12 for the Eagles (13-13, 8-5 Big Sky Conference), who shot 56 percent for the game.

The Grizzlies (20-6, 13-1), who had the fourth-longest winning streak in the country, came up one win short of the school record for consecutive wins and the best start in league history. Ahmaad Rorie led with 18 points, Sayeed Pridgett had 15 and Fabijan Krslovic 12.

Eastern Washington never trailed after Griciunas scored six points in an 8-0 run made it 21-15 midway through the first half. It was 35-32 at the half but the lead didn’t reach double figures until Bliznyuk made two free throws with 1:35 to play.

Montana went 1 of 10 behind the arc in the second half, 6 of 22 for the game.
