Comments sought on waste rate increase in Woodland

WOODLAND — The city of Woodland is seeking comments from residents for a proposed rate increase for solid waste collection, meaning garbage and recycling. The city received a notice of Solid Waste Disposal Rate Increase from Cowlitz County and Waste Control.

The proposed ordinance would be effective April 16. Anyone interested on the topic can speak during a council meeting at 7 p.m. March 5 at council chambers, 200 E. Scott Ave., Woodland. Questions should be directed to City Administrator Pete Boyce at boycep@ci.woodland.wa.us or 360-225-8281. Interested individuals can also submit written comments to P.O. Box 9 or at 230 Davidson Ave., Woodland, or by emailing them to rippm@ci.woodland.wa.us.
