Peninsula used a big second half to pull away from Hudson’s Bay in a loser-out game in the 3A bi-district tournament.

Bay trailed 28-23, but Peninsula pened up a 51-30 after the third quarter.

“We just didn’t play well in the second half,” Bay coach Michael Rainville said. “We made a lot of unforced turnovers that that cost us. It’s too bad because we felt like we could have stuck with them.”

Gabriella Garcia led Bay with 12 points and Jaydia Martin added 10 as Bay finished the season 13-10.

“I’m proud of our kids,” Raniville said. “They won just two games last year, and this year we finished third in league. It was a great improvement, and we’re looking forward to next season.”
