Centralia used its inside game to overpower a sloppy Ridgefield team in the first round of the 2A district tournament.
“They did a good job of getting a lot of shots in the paint,” Ridgefield coach Jason Buffum said. “They had 17 2-point baskets and 13 free throws, and those numbers a tough to overcome.”
The Spudders made matters worse for them by committing 18 turnovers.
“Just a lot of unforced mistakes that aren’t normally part of the game plan,” Buffum said.
Kade Ramey paced the Spudders with 12 points.
Ridgefield faces Tumwater next at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Mark Morris HS in a loser-out game.
