The Historic Trust is seeking nominations for the 2018 leadership awards honoring Gen. George C. Marshall.

Recipients of the Marshall Adult Leadership Award and Marshall Youth Leadership Award will be honored on March 21 at the Providence Academy.

A nominee for the adult Marshall Leadership award must be a resident of Clark County, 35 years or younger, with a four-year college degree. Criteria include leadership ability, commitment to public service, academic achievement and potential for an ongoing active role in public service.

The award includes $2,200 toward a trip to the Marshall Foundation in Lexington, Va., Colonial Williamsburg and Washington, D.C.; opportunities to work with community leaders; and a scholarship for the Leadership Clark County Program.

Marshall Youth Leadership nominees must be Clark County residents in the 12th grade. Criteria include activities and projects demonstrating the values represented by Marshall.

The youth award includes a $2,500 college scholarship; a $500 paid summer internship in The Historic Trust administrative offices; a chance to meet local elected officials; and opportunities to participate in Celebrate Freedom events.

Nominations may be made by organizations or individuals and must be submitted by 5 p.m., Feb. 16.
