The National Weather Service posted a short-term forecast warning residents of fog sticking around through Wednesday morning in the Portland-Vancouver area.

Just before 5:40 a.m., fog started developing in the Willamette Valley and parts of Vancouver and Portland, according to the weather service.

At that time, visibility in several areas had fell to a quarter-mile. Visibility at the Eugene, Salem and Aurora airports fell to one, two and three miles, respectively.

The forecast said the Clark County communities of Battle Ground, Ridgefield and Washougal were among those seeing fog.

Oregon Department of Transportation traffic maps marked areas of fog along state Highway 14 between Vancouver and Camas.

Be sure to slow down and use caution while driving through foggy areas this morning,” forecasters said.
