Girls basketball: Washougal 53, Woodland 36

Washougal capped 2A Greater St. Helens League play with the triumph.

Its win over Woodland came on senior night.

Beyonce Bea scored 25 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Skylar Bea added 13 boards for the Panthers.

Head coach Britney Knotts sported an all-senior starting lineup and Washougal led by three after a quarter.

Then the Panthers put their starting lineup in for the second quarter and outscored the Beavers by 11.

“My usual starters brought a lot of energy,” Knott said.

The Panthers now head to the postseason, where they will host the winner of Columbia River and Tumwater at home on Friday.
