Devi Dugan had 15 points and Madalyn Chapman added 12 in the Spudders’ season finale that slipped away in the final quarter after a tie game at halftime.

Coach Tom Klutz noted Mark Morris’ size advantage in the interior, which not only made for outrebounding a smaller Spudders lineup, but also outscoring Ridgefield 17-8 in the final quarter. Libby Bartleson and Alexis Troy, MM’s starting posts, combined for 36 points.

“We played well for three quarters,” Klutz said. “We just couldn’t close the deal.”

Hailey Braunstein led Ridgefield (0-12 2A GSHL) with seven rebounds.
