Members of the public won’t have normal access to the Skamania County Courthouse and services will be delayed after a flood caused extensive damage to the building, according to a news release from the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday, the courthouse was reopened to the public after being closed earlier that morning as the result of a flood incident that affected all three floors of the building, according to the news release.

Various county offices are housed in the courthouse. Although clean-up work has begun, the county still expects to close or move certain offices.
