Vancouver – The Clark County Council is urging residents to finish an online survey about Oregon’s plan to put tolls on Interstate 5 and Interstate 205 to ease congestion in the Portland area.

The Oregon Department of Transportation is conducting the Portland Area Value Pricing Feasibility Analysis and is seeking the public’s review and input via an online open house until Monday.

The tolling system Oregon is considering is also called value pricing or congestion pricing. It’s a user-fee system where the price of driving on a road goes up during congested times of the day.

More information on the tolling proposal is available at www.oregon.gov/ODOT/Pages/Value-Pricing.aspx. The survey is found at: openhouse.oregondot.org/portland-metro-area-value-pricing-feasibility-analysis.
