Battle Ground’s Darian Dyer places sixth at 4A girls bowling state tournament

Skyview is sixth in team standings

Battle Ground’s Darian Dyer was the highest local finisher at the 4A girls bowling state tournament Thursday, placing tied for sixth in the individual portion of the meet in University Place.

Dyer had a high game of 225 for a six-game pin total of 1091 (181.8 average).

District champion Takara Suhama did not compete. Her spot was taken by teammate Teryn Turner, who shot 875.

Kira Glass had a total of 912 and Calista Schafer had 880 for Skyview, which sat in sixth place after the individual games. Baker games are slated for Friday morning at Narrows Plaza Bowl.

The 3A and 2A/1A state tournaments will begin with individual games at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
