Nominees of Week 3 winter sports athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian winter sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the two-week period ending Dec. 29.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

ALLIE ANDREW, RIDGEFIELD GIRLS BASKETBALL: The sophomore averaged 14 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in three wins for the Spudders at the Surf ‘N Slam Tournament in San Diego.

TANNER CRAIG, CAMAS BOYS WRESTLING: Craig earned his second Pacific Coast Championship title by beating Oregon state champion Joey Coste of Westview in the 138-pound final.

LACEY KLOPMAN, WASHOUGAL GIRLS WRESTLING: The freshman won all three of her matches by pins to lead the Panthers to a title in the Washougal River Rumble.

AVERY SETER, LA CENTER BOYS BASKETBALL: Seter averaged 21 points over three games to lead the Wildcats to the title at the Oregon Hoopfest in Bend, Ore.

KAILEE WILCOX, EVERGREEN BOWLING: Wilcox averaged 203 over four games for Evergreen, including three games of 212 or better.
