Isaiah Parker became the first Seton Catholic player to score 1,000 career points as the Cougars beat a team ranked No. 10 in Oregon’s Class 5A.
Parker scored 13 points to lead a balance scoring attack in the non-league game. Gabe Anderson also scored 13 for Seton (8-2).
The Cougars outscored La Salle 27-14 in the third quarter to take a 51-38 lead. But the Falcons (8-4) rallied, taking a 52-51 lead midway through the fourth quarter.
But Seton finished strong and hit several free throws in the final minutes.
“We were able to get back to what we were doing in the third quarter,” Seton coach Kris Small said.
