The Spudders opened the Dulcich Memorial Tournament in Astoria, Ore., with a convincing win.

“It was a little different setting for us,” Ridgefield coach Jason Buffum said. “But it was nice to go into an empty gym on a neutral floor in the middle of the day, and get the win. It took us a little while to get rolling.”

Josh Mansur paced the Spudders (5-3) with 15 points. James Corey and Matt Gama added eight each.

“We were only up 12 at halftime,” Buffum said. “But we got a lot of transition baskets in the second half to pull away.”

Ridgefield faces Redmond (Ore.) at 11:45 a.m. on Friday.
