The Ridgefield Police Department is asking for help in identifying a thief who walked off with packages left on a home’s doorstep.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office posted a video of the theft on Facebook at the request of the police department, which does not have its own page.

In the video, a man wearing a hooded jacket walks up to the porch, dips below the camera’s view for a moment, and then lifts up a large package with at least one other smaller parcel resting on top of it before taking off.

The police department said the thief may be associated with a dark-colored, four-door late model sedan with its passenger side rear window missing. The vehicle is believed to have Idaho license plates.

Police did not say when or where the theft occurred.

Anyone with information about the theft should contact Officer Tyler King at 360.887.3557 or Tyler.King@ci.ridgefield.wa.us.
