Ridgefield cooking, marketing students compete in Pasta Project

Ridgefield — Andrea Reinertson’s marketing class and Sarah Fontyn’s foods class at Ridgefield High School teamed up for the Pasta Project contest.

Marketing students worked in groups to come up with product ideas while students in the food class created recipes and cooked the pasta samples.

Students from other classes chose three of nine projects based on their taste, display, sales pitch and whether they’d buy the product.

One project had bacon in the pasta, while one recipe included shrimp. Another was cheesy-flavored and covered in Doritos.
