Hudson’s Bay — The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber hosted Mujeres Superpoderosas, which translates to “super strong women,” a business workshop for Latinx businesses and entrepreneurs.

Leadership coach Ingrid Miller led an interactive workshop where roughly 50 Latinx women small-business owners participated.

The event was conducted entirely in Spanish to accommodate the Spanish-speaking audience.

The workshop included a presentation on successful leadership and an elevator pitch and networking exercise, where the attendees practiced pitching their businesses. Other speakers included Veronica Vazquez of Elemento Latino, Valentina Suarez of Women in Management, Victoria Lara of Lara Media and Seidy Selivanow of Kafiex Roasters.

The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber designed the event to give local Latinx women a safe and encouraging space to learn about leadership and how to effectively network and pitch their small businesses.

“Latinx women business owners are typically left out of these conversations and traditional networking events even though they own a majority of Latino businesses,” a release from organization reads.
