A big third quarter by Grants Pass was too much for Heritage’s big fourth-quarter rally to overcome in the game at the South Eugene Tournament.
After finishing the first half tied at 27-27, Grants Pass surged ahead with a 27-7 third quarter advantage.
Heritage (5-7) outscored the Cavemen 20-9 in the fourth quarter to get closer.
Jared Padley scored 13 points, and Capone Johnson had 11 for the Timberwolves.
