Girls basketball: Mountain View 50, Evergreen 41

Paytin Ballard scored 17 points, Jenna Carlson added 15 and the Thunder rallied past Evergreen for a 3A Greater St. Helens League win.

Trailing by four points in the third quarter, Mountain View took the lead on a basket by Gillian Murphy. The Thunder (3-6, 2-0) then held the lead through the fourth quarter.

Ballard had nine rebounds. Five of Carlson’s six rebounds were on the offensive glass.

Zenora Salanoa scored 15 points and Colaleigh Speer added 10 for Evergreen (1-7, 0-2).
