The Vancouver Downtown Redevelopment Authority on Thursday approved a $19.4 million operating budget for 2019 and a $1.05 million capital budget. The authority oversees the city-owned Hilton Vancouver Washington.

The authority primarily receives revenue from hotel and convention center operations, but also from three tax sources dedicated to the conference center project: the city’s lodging tax, the city public facilities district sales tax credit and the Clark County Public Facilities District sales tax credit.

Also on Thursday, the authority approved renewing its consulting services contract of up to $25,920 with its executive director, Paul Lewis of Ridgefield.

And the board approved spending $21,100 to replace 28 digital readers boards outside the entrance to Hilton Vancouver Washington meeting rooms and its lobby. The existing monitors were installed in 2014. Several others have been replaced in recent months before the board’s action Thursday.
