Matt Gama scored 16 points and James Corey added 13 as the Spudders used defense and rebounding to get past Woodland in 2A Greater St. Helens League game.

Gama scored 10 points in the second quarter as Ridgefield opened a 31-21 advantage. Holding the Beavers to six points in the third quarter, Ridgefield extended its edge to 42-27.

“After that, it never got closer than 12,” Ridgefield coach Jason Buffum said. “As a team, we didn’t a really good job rebounding. And we held the Flanagan boys (Isaiah and Tyler) to a combined four points. That doesn’t happen often.”
