Vancouver teen assisted with stuffed animal purchase for local kids

East Vancouver — Sean Geisler was shopping at Ikea in Portland, walking around with two shopping carts full of stuffed animals. A man in the store saw him and gave him $20, saying, “I don’t know what you’re doing, but I know it’s good. Merry Christmas.” Geisler was there to buy stuffed animals to turn into Heavy Helpers at the Children’s Center. Heavy Helpers are stuffed animals that are deconstructed and reconstructed with some added weight that can used to help calm anxiety during counseling sessions. Geisler’s father, Tim Geisler, is the pastor at Epikos Church, a nondenominational church in Vancouver which looks to help all kids in Clark County.
