Seton Catholic used a balanced attack to fend off a furious late charge from Tumwater to score a non-league win over a 2A opponent.
Tumwater scored 28 points in the final quarter to keep the game close.
“They kept coming at us,” Seton Catholic coach Kris Small said. “We had an answer, but they did not give up. They are a pretty relentless team.”
Gabe Anderson led the balanced scoring for Seton (6-1) with 17 points. Isaiah Parker and Andrew Olson added 16 points each and Delano Morgan had 14.
“The win was really a tribute to our unselfish play,” Small said. “To virtually have five guys score in double figures shows how we share the ball and play for each other.”
