Carson Bonine scored 24 points to help the Papermakers hold off a resilient Heritage squad for a 4A Greater St. Helens League win.
Bonine had five of his team’s 14 3-pointers. He also helped Camas start fast, building a 26-13 lead after one quarter.
But Heritage battled back, outscoring Camas 27-17 in the second quarter.
“That says a lot about Heritage,” Camas coach Ryan Josephson said. “They showed a tremendous amount of fight.”
Camas (6-2, 1-1) had effective post play from Isaiah Sampson and Jackson Clemmer. Sampson had 17 points and 12 rebounds while Clemmer scored 10 points.
