Boys basketball: Kelso 57, Hudson’s Bay 43

Shaw Anderson scored 33 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter, as Kelso overcame a halftime deficit for a 3A Greater St. Helens League win.

Hudson’s Bay (1-6, 0-1) led 26-23 at halftime. But Kelso (5-1, 1-0) clamped down on defense, holding the Eagles scoreless in the third quarter to take a 35-26 lead.

Then Anderson, the reigning league co-MVP, took over. He scored all but five of his team’s points in the fourth.

Eli Hoover led Hudson’s Bay with 17 points. Skylar Buker added 11 points.
