Girls basketball: Skyview 63, Heritage 37

Kazz Parks scored 20 of her 22 points in the first half as the Storm opened 4A Greater St. Helens League play with a win and improved to 8-0 overall.

Parks was coming off a 25-point game against Columbia River on Friday.

“Every time she shoots, I think it’s going in,” Skyview coach Brett Johnson said. “I still think she’s being too passive. I want her to shoot more.”

Skyview, which had 16 steals, outscored Heritage 16-3 in the second quarter to lead 35-18 at halftime. Maddie Hendricks added 16 points while Remingtin Riley had seven steals and eight rebounds.

Katie Peneueta had 10 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks for Heritage (4-5, 0-1)
