How did you like the weather Friday? Not much in the rain here even at the coast but it made its presence known to most everyone. Winds were the headline with several thousands out of power in the county.
The Olympic Peninsula took a big hit with major power lines out of service. Winds above Port Angeles were gusting to 80 mph and 50 mph in the city (as here in Vancouver). The Bonneville Power Administration had three power lines out of service.
High temperature records were set in some locales Friday with a 63-degree high in Astoria. And this is mid-December? We have more mild weather on the way until late in the week and next weekend before we cool back down to “normal.”
Saturday afternoon on the satellite picture we had a “monster” storm off our coast with a large spiral that spanned hundreds of miles. That is the rain today. Behind that one we have the “beast.”
