Ron Swanson’s industrial broom of a moustache may or may not come with him. Either way, comedian and actor Nick Offerman will perform at ilani’s Cowlitz Ballroom on April 18. Tickets go on sale this morning at 10 a.m.
Offerman has said he’s glad to still be getting acting work after disappearing so completely into the role that made him famous. Offerman played Swanson, the municipal parks manager who dislikes parks and government, for seven seasons on the hit sitcom “Parks and Recreation.” Swanson’s comedic macho — and the believable depth of the character — were rewarded with great reviews and a cult following.
Since the show ended, Offerman has been landing movie roles in films like “Hearts Beat Loud” and “The Founder,” in which he portrays one of the creators of the McDonald’s restaurant franchise. He’s also a writer of bestselling books and, like Swanson, a woodworker. He runs Offerman Woodshop in Los Angeles.
