Micah Paulson scored a career-high 33 points as Hockinson beat Heritage 79-69 in a non-league basketball game on Friday.
Paulson, a junior guard, hit seven 3-pointers. He and Dakota Souders hit back-to-back threes to put the Hawks ahead for good midway through the fourth quarter.
“We weathered the storm,” Hockinson coach Jon Warner said. “It was certainly a back and forth game, especially in the third quarter.”
Ki Haden scored 16 points and Sawyer Racanelli added 14 for Hockinson (2-3), which has won two straight.
The Hawks made 16 of 17 free throws.
Conner Childs scored 16 points to lead Heritge (5-2). The Timberwolves had won five straight.
