Brendan Beall made six 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 26 points as the Tigers (5-2) beat visiting Fort Vancouver.
“He played really well,” Battle Ground coach Manny Melo said of Beall’s game. “He hit three 3’s in the first quarter, and came out and hit three more to start the third and really got us going.”
After a close first quarter where Battle Ground led by 21-17, the Tigers outscored Fort 31-17 over the second and third quarters to pull away.
Melo said once his players knew Beall had the hot hand, they got him the ball.
“We played great team basketball. Everyone made plays,” Melo said.
The Trappers (0-6) were led in scoring by James Husband’s 23 points.
