Evergreen Public Schools board President Todd Yuzuriha will resign from the school board in February, citing family health issues.
Yuzuriha, who represents District 4, will serve until Feb. 13. He’s been on the board since his appointment in 2008 and was elected three times in following years.
“He is a retired technology engineering executive, but is also a supporter for the performing arts in schools, including playing his trumpet in concerts and musicals throughout the district,” Evergreen school district spokeswoman Gail Spolar wrote in a news release.
The board formally accepted Yuzuriha’s resignation Tuesday and will appoint a successor by the time he leaves his position next year.
