Washougal — The annual Cape Horn-Skye Elementary Grandparents Day was held Nov. 15 and 16, a tradition that dates back at least to the 1980s. “Grandparents Day is one of my favorite days at Cape Horn-Skye,” Principal Penny Andrews said in a release from the district. “It’s a great opportunity for grandparents to connect with their grandchildren and take a peek into their school lives. It serves as a wonderful way to connect the school and community.” Grandparents Day features a special turkey gravy lunch, book fair, photo booth and a craft table to create a picture frame. Student Jamison Douglas was accompanied by his grandmother, Angela Cummings, his great-grandmother, Linda Davidson, and his great-great-grandmother, Bert Dolan.
