Nearly 2,000 customers lost power around Clark County Tuesday night, with the majority of the outages around the Burnt Bridge Creek area in central Vancouver, according to Clark Public Utilities.

Roughly 1,500 customers in Vancouver lost power starting around 7 p.m., according to Clark Public Utilities. Several other outages were reported around the county. The next largest was in the Woodland area, with around 360 customers in the dark.

Power was back for the majority of affected customers by around 10 a.m., according to the utility, which said trees falling on power lines caused the Woodland-area and Vancouver outages.

Utility spokeswoman Erica Erland said technicians were responding to all the outages, but had no estimates for when power would be completely restored.
