Boys basketball: Seton Catholic 64, Ridgefield 63

Xavian Rushing’s game-winning basket and free-throw in the final seconds lifted the Cougars to the nonleague victory.

Ridgefield led 63-61 inside 15 seconds left before Rushing went up for the layup and drew the foul. He made the free-throw to give the Cougars the 1-point lead.

Ridgefield’s potential game-winning shot after calling a timeout was off the mark.

Isaiah Parker led Seton with 15 points and Gabe Anderson added 10. Josh Mansur led all scorers with 22 for Ridgefield.
