Slithery show and tell at Glenwood Heights school

Richard Ritchey visited Glenwood Heights Primary School on Thursday, but the focus was on his companions. Ritchey, known as the Reptile Man, brought a lot of different reptiles to show the pupils, a few of whom got a chance to interact with the creatures.

Kindergartner Scarlet Ferguson let a reticulated python rest around her neck; first-grader Liam Hansen held still as a uromastyx lizard perched atop his head; and kindergartner River VonRuden stared down a spur-thighed tortoise. Even the children who didn’t get to participate in Ritchey’s demonstrations were captivated.
