It must have been the shoes.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota managed to wear all five cleats designed the King’s Way Christian students of teacher Justin Tigner as the Titans rolled to a 30-9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night.
“Not a shock: Marcus managed to wear all 5 of my students cleats at some point during the night (even though we thought 2 pairs would be worn),” Tigner tweeted. ” He continues to be a class act in everything he does. Thank you Marcus … for all that you did for our kids and school tonight!”
Mariota will auction off the cleats to benefit ALS research. The quarterback was honoring his friend Osiel Mendoza, who was diagnosed with ALS — also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease — at age 21. Mendoza was on the sidelines for Thursday night’s game.
