Boys basketball: Union 79, Timberline 59

The Titans erupted for 33 second-quarter points on their way to a nonleague victory in Lacey.

Brad Lackey scored 20 of his 25 points in the second half and Ariya Briscoe had all nine of his nine of his points in the second quarter when the Titans outscored the Blazers 33-16.

“We started to attack a lot more and took care of the basketball,” coach Blake Conley said of his team’s second-quarter output.

Tanner Toolson added 11 points and eight rebounds for Union.
