Police on Monday arrested a self-admitted Sureño gang member in a Nov. 12 armed robbery of the Minit Mart Quick Stop in downtown Vancouver, according to a news release from the Vancouver Police Department.

The suspect, identified as Zachary A. Flores, 23, was arrested by officers with the Safe Streets Task Force on suspicion of first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.

Police say Flores entered the store, 1901 Kauffman Ave., armed with a handgun and held the clerk at gunpoint while stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

Investigators developed a suspect description and obtained video surveillance from the area, the news release states.
