A 15-year-old boy, who police say is a self-admitted Norteño gang member, was arrested Monday in connection with multiple gun-related crimes, according to a Vancouver Police Department news release.
The suspect was not identified, but the news release states that he was arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, drive-by shooting and unlawful possession of a firearm in a shooting at an apartment complex, and first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and felony harassment in the robbery of a Chevron gas station. He was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Justice Center.
On Oct. 2, police were dispatched following multiple 911 calls for shots fired at the Heather Falls Apartment, 6422 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd. Investigators found that bullets had entered occupied apartments. They also located bullet holes in several parked vehicles and shell casings in the parking lot, the news release says.
Then on Nov. 2, police were called to an armed robbery at the Chevron gas station, 1900 N.E. 162nd Ave. The suspect held the clerk at gunpoint and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, according to the news release.
