The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington has received $25,000 from Kaiser Permanente to aid the clinic’s specialty care program, according to a Free Clinic press release.

The program provides free medical care to low-income, uninsured Clark County residents with special care needs. After being screened by care coordinators, patients who qualify can access donated specialty care, laboratory and hospital services.

The Kaiser Permanente grant will help support the program costs of application processing, recruiting and retaining physicians and developing local awareness.
