A skateboarder went to the hospital in critical condition Thursday afternoon after the rider was hit by two cars south of the Washington State University Vancouver campus.

The two cars struck the skateboarder at about 1:30 p.m. around the intersection of Northeast 29th Avenue and Northeast 134th Street.

Sgt. Scott Schanaker of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said there was no indication of impairment in the involved drivers, and no charges had been recommended.
