The Federal Emergency Management Agency awarded Clark County Fire District 3 a $400,000 grant to pay for new breathing apparatuses.
The district says it applied for the grant to ensure it meets minimum requirements for safety and interoperability set in state law and the National Fire Protection Association.
The district will replace its entire inventory of breathing apparatuses through the grant.
